NEW TASMANIAN WORKSHOP / OFFICES

We have now completely moved into our new premises at 287 Hobart Road, Youngtown. TAS , as additional to our existing south east Queensland base.

This facility has offices, support facilities, a high clearance workshop and substantial yard storage areas. This will be a full service facility with several oil treatment plants to 4500 litres/hr., HV testing equipment, and all necessary equipment to undertake transformer maintenance, installations, refurbishment and oil treatment / regeneration. The workshop boasts full machine shop capability with medium and large lathes, a large bed type milling machine, heavy busbar bender, Ridgid pipe threading machine to 4", 200 tonne hydraulic press, linishing machines, precision horizontal lapping machine. MIG and TIG welding capability. Machine shop will be open to the public by appointment. SCUBA tank hire and refills, annual cylinder hydrostatic testing & certification.

 

HVE - 19 YEARS STRONG

This month (March 2022) sees HVE turning 19 years young and strong !  

We have been supplying equipment and expertise continually during this time and are powering ahead - current Works include regeneration and oil treatment works on several transformers for NRG Gladstone power station, upcoming regeneration and HV testing works at CS Energy power station at Chinchilla,  construction of 50 mva Siemens transformers at Darling Downs solar farm and Kennedy Energy Park in Qld, transformer refurbishment works for TasWater and Cracow gold mines, Transformer oil regeneration works & oil handling works for aluminium refineries in Qld & Tasmania, plus a steel mill, uranium and iron ore mines in South Australia.


NEW HIGH CAPACITY OIL HANDLING PUMP

A new high capacity oil handling pump has just been completed ex our Glass House Mountains workshop.

The unit is powered by a 7.5kw three phase motor with operator controlled variable speed drive. The pump has a capacity of 16,000 litres per hour at pumping distances to 100 metres and line pressures around 65 psi.
